Disco Elysium

Disco Elysium is a role-playing game with a deep narrative where players take on the role of a detective struggling with memory loss and addiction. Waking up in a cheap motel room, the protagonist discovers that he must investigate a murder, but the task won’t be easy—his own mind constantly interferes, and the world around him is chaotic.

Instead of traditional RPG combat, the game features a unique system of dialogue and skill checks. The detective can persuade, intimidate, analyze, or get lost in drunken philosophical ramblings. Each skill in the game represents a different voice inside the protagonist’s head, offering guidance or leading him astray, while decisions shape the course of the story.

The game takes place in Revachol, a city scarred by revolution, struggling with poverty, political turmoil, and ideological conflicts. The player can choose what kind of detective they will be: a principled investigator, a cynic, a revolutionary, or simply a lost soul.

The mobile version incorporates many elements from The Final Cut, such as full voice acting, additional quests, and improved animation. The interface has been redesigned for touchscreen controls, and the format has been adapted for short gameplay sessions. Controls are optimized for a vertical screen, which will change how players interact with the environment.
